The Association of Interpreters and Translators (AIT) was founded in 1945 by graduates of the Geneva School of Interpreters (EIG), most well known as the School of Translation and Interpreting of the University of Geneva, and today known as the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting.

The AIT currently has about 100 active members who work as translators, interpreters and terminologists, graduates of the Geneva Faculty of Translation and Interpreting as well as other recognized faculties and schools.

The AIT is a non-profit association whose activities aim to promote contact among professionals, to defend the interests of the profession and to ensure members can be easily and directly contacted through our online directory.

Are you an interpreter, translator, terminologist or future graduate?

Please do not hesitate to contact us at info@aitge.ch for any further information (concerning membership applications).
